RYA Yachtmaster Motor Exam Preparation

RYA Yachtmaster Certificate of Competence is the pinnacle of the RYA training scheme and is recognised worldwide. MCA deck officers, offshore industries, and superyacht crews all require the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore as part of their training/employment criteria.

This level of training is suitable for you if you have been boating for a number of years and have operated on board as skipper or navigator. You will need to hold the following qualification before starting the exam: 

  • RYA VHF certificate
  • A valid First Aid Certificate (within 3yrs of the exam) 
  • RYA Yachtmaster Theory course.

RYA Yachtmaster (power) training with us is a thorough preparation for the YM exam at the end of the week. Our aim is to provide excellent RYA Yachtmaster practical training while offering outstanding customer service. You will get the best available training while enjoying the experience of working with a team of Yachtmaster candidates and learning from each other. At Marine Matters we preside over approximately 10% of the worldwide Yachtmaster (power) exam preparation training and exams; with a success rate of over 95% from our base on the river Hamble, on The Solent.

Yachtmaster Motor Practical Exam Preparation Fee Includes:

  • No fuel surcharges, marina fees or hidden costs when on our boats
  • Accommodation onboard saving approx £55/night at local B&B's
  • Towels, duvets, pillows & professionally laundered bedding
  • Food for breakfast and lunch, evening meals should be taken ashore
  • One to one additional instruction as requested at no extra cost

Please note the RYA Yachtmaster Exam fee is extra and is payable to the examiner on the day of the exam.
