Day Skipper Practical Motor / Power Training Course

RYA Day Skipper practical motor training is just four days long making it the ideal course for those new to cruising and wishing to Skipper their own motor boat by day in the local waters of The Solent from our river Hamble base. This course is also available as Own Boat Tuition.

Day Skipper (power) training courses with us are designed to be fun and relaxing; more of a holiday, learning through fun, than a training course. You, your family and friends will learn how to go from our Hamble marina to idyllic Solent anchorages for al fresco dinning as well as train you to manoeuvre in close quarters with one of our professional RYA Instructors. Enjoy the river Hamble and The Solent area, a place of protected outstanding natural beauty on the English South Coast.

Our training motor cruiser is spacious and well appointed featuring the following:

  • Accomodation on board for all students
  • Professionally laundered bedding & towels at no extra cost
  • Fully equipped galley
  • A generator; allowing us to operate anywhere with maximum comfort. 
  • TV & DVD player
  • CD/radio stereo with internal and external speakers
  • Heating

A comfortable training environment is essential to the success of your Day Skipper training and overall enjoyment so you can rest assured you will find your boat clean and welcoming.

 

Day Skipper Practical Training Course Price Includes:

  • No fuel surcharges, marina fees or hidden costs when on our boats
  • Accommodation onboard saving approximately £55/night at local B&B's
  • Towels, duvets, pillows & professionally laundered bedding
  • Food for breakfast and lunch, evening meals should be taken ashore.
  • Use of our motor cruiser for RYA Day Skipper training
  • Instruction by one of our specialist RYA Day Skipper instructors
  • Day Skipper course certification on completion of your training
  • Qualify for Bareboat Charter for family fun days out
  • Qualify for the ICC for motor / power boats up to 24m in length
  • RYA recommended safety equipment to be carried during training
  • Foul weather clothing, if required
